Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing groundreport.app or purchasing a report, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Ground Report Is
Ground Report is an informational service that aggregates publicly available environmental data from US government databases (EPA, FEMA, USGS, CDC, ATSDR, and others) and presents it in a readable format for residential addresses.
Ground Report is not:
- A licensed environmental inspector or consultant
- A medical provider or health advisor
- A legal advisor or real estate disclosure service
- A substitute for professional inspection or laboratory testing
3. No Warranty on Data Accuracy
All data is sourced from public government databases. We make no warranty that this data is complete, current, or accurate for your specific address. Government databases have coverage gaps, update delays, and errors. Always verify important findings with the originating agency or a qualified professional.
Reports describe probabilities and likelihoods based on location, era, and regional data — not confirmed conditions at your specific property. A "High Risk" flag means the risk is elevated relative to the general population, not that your property is definitively affected.
4. Not Medical or Professional Advice
Nothing in a Ground Report report constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not use our reports to make medical decisions. If you have health concerns related to environmental exposure, consult a licensed physician.
Nothing in our reports constitutes legal advice, real estate advice, or professional environmental assessment. For due diligence in real estate transactions, engage a licensed environmental professional.
5. Purchases and Refunds
Report purchases are non-refundable once the report has been generated and delivered. If you have a technical issue preventing report access, contact us at support@groundreport.app within 14 days of purchase and we will work to resolve it or provide a credit.
Professional plan subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation stops future billing; no partial-month refunds are issued.
6. Report Privacy and Sharing
Your reports are private by default. You may choose to make a report publicly viewable. Once public, a report may be indexed by search engines and shared freely. Public reports expire from public view after 24 months but remain in your account.
You may not resell, repackage, or commercially redistribute Ground Report data without written permission.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Use automated systems to scrape or bulk-query the service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our proprietary algorithms
- Use reports in a manner that misrepresents the data as confirmed property conditions
- Use reports to discriminate in housing, lending, insurance, or employment
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ground Report's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim. Ground Report is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
